Anatomy of Vinyasa
Fine-tune your practice and solidify foundations that will allow you to take your practice further than you ever thought possible! In this all-levels workshop, explore poses ranging from beginner to advanced. Take an anatomy-based approach to alignment techniques specific to your body. Learn about hand, wrist and upper body mechanics to help you avoid injury. Study pelvic and vertebral anatomy to understand the body's unique adaptations, strengths, and design compromises. Technique refinement and detailed transition cues help you break through challenges you face in flow classes, while hands-on adjustments take you further in a safe and sustainable way.
Anatomy of Yin
Yin Yoga is a calming practice which focuses on deep tissue stretching. All work is done on the floor and goes beyond the skeletal muscle layer to work also with deeper connective tissues of the body including ligaments, tendons, and even bones. This workshop will focus on understanding how and when to explore depths, modifications, and sensations to maintain joint mobility and proper tissue elasticity. We will also explore the basic meditation practices which can help you reduce your blood pressure, reduce stress, and regulate sleep cycles.
